The met presents over 5,000 years of art from around the world for everyone to experience and enjoy. Located just off the main hall of the met cloisters, the met store presents unique gifts, jewelry, home decor, and more inspired by the art, architecture, and gardens of medieval europe. On march 18, 2016, the metropolitan museum of art opened the met breuer, a space dedicated to modern and contemporary art.
